SESOC is pleased to host another high quality conference of interest to structural engineers and like-minded people. This is the fourth New Zealand conference hosted by SESOC and follows our successful hosting of ASEC 2014.
In line with our theme, Securing the Future, you will have the opportunity to learn from, and share knowledge with leading practitioners in the field of structural engineering in New Zealand and from overseas.
The conference will provide an environment for you to meet your fellow colleagues and in which to facilitate some stimulating debate. The conference will be of interest to experienced and graduate engineers alike, with several streams of papers running concurrently so as to provide choice and variety.
This conference will bring together professionals from a broad range of disciplines, including architecture, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, business, public policy, emergency response planning and regulation.
The conference theme, Securing the Future, will be categorised into the following topic areas for the purpose of streaming.

- Research and education
- The business of structural engineering
- Opportunities from a changing environment
- Special structures
Closing date for receipt of papers has been extended to 9 June 2017
The conference will include a small number of Special Sessions. Special sessions are expected to include workshops on topical issues.
The conference committee will be including invited speakers to ensure the technical content is of a high standard.
